Hi Yael-
Thanks! I really like Gan Mao Ling, and have used it with Yin Qiao at the beginning stages of a cold, and also when I have congestion- it seems to help drain without being too drying. You are right though- after the beginning stages of the cold have passed, and it's deeper into the layers, something stronger is definitely necessary.

Amy,

Great idea to talk about the formulas like this!
Did you ever get the chance to use Gan Mao Ling?
I got to admit that I never got the chance to use it, because as I understand it it's for the very early stages of a cold. When people ask me about formulas, they already either deep in the wind-cold or deep in the wind-heat, and then I found Gan Mao Ling to not work too good....

What is your experience with the formula?

Keep up the good work,
Yael
